Arsenal announce major club change as Stan Kroenke and Josh Kroenke handed new roles

Arsenal have announced that Stan Kroenke and Josh Kroenke have been appointed as Co-Chairs whilst Tim Lewis becomes Executive Vice-Chair. The announcement comes as a major change to the club's leadership structure as it continues its evolution since Kroenke Sports & Entertainment assumed 100% ownership of Arsenal in 2018.

A statement from Stan Kroenke read: "This is a simple evolution as part of us all driving Arsenal forward and further reaffirms our family’s long-standing commitment to this great club. Stability in football has never been more important as we move past the pandemic, and we believe this is the perfect time to formalise these roles."

Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe is now 'pain-free' after a torrid season full of injury problems and now could be set for a new role in Mikel Arteta's team. The Hale End graduate has played just 136 minutes of football for the Gunners this season but has returned at the perfect time for Arteta with the Gunners challenging for the Premier League title and Europa League.

Declan Rice urged to join Chelsea ahead of Arsenal and Real Madrid amid Edu transfer decision

Speaking to Midnite, Johnson said: "Arsenal are definitely leading the race to sign Rice. If you would have said nine months ago that Arsenal would sign him, I would probably be laughing!

"Arsenal have looked the real deal, they have won matches that they definitely would have lost last season and it's a fantastic club that is going in the right direction. They have definitely earned the right to put their hat in the ring amongst the many other teams chasing him."
