Atalanta President Antonio Percassi is “optimistic” about keeping Gian Piero Gasperini as Coach next season ahead of a new meeting.
They spoke after an end of season lunch and will have another more official encounter tomorrow.
“We’ll meet up tomorrow for a coffee and will define Gasperini’s position,” Percassi told reporters.
“I am optimistic.”
Gasperini has received offers from Roma and other clubs, but could remain if Atalanta pledge to invest in a bigger squad following their historic Champions League qualification.
The Bergamo club finished the Serie A season in third place and as the most prolific team, as well as reaching the Coppa Italia Final.
