Diego Simeone was left enraged on and off the pitch on Wednesday night as his Atletico Madrid side crashed out of the Copa del Rey at Real Sociedad in the last 16.
Atletico were beaten 2-0 by their LaLiga rivals courtesy of goals from Adnan Januzaj and Alexander Sorloth.
However, Simeone was enraged by the treatment his Atletico side received as they drove along to the Reale Arena.
Real Sociedad fans threw objects at the team bus carrying Atletico Madrid players to a Copa del Rey match on Wednesday, causing some damage to the bus.
As reported by Spanish media, there was minor damage to Atletico's bus after Sociedad fans attacked it.
Simeone could be seen inside the bus reproaching Sociedad fans who continued to chant and insult the visitors before police intervention.
Asked after the match about the incident, Simeone said: 'You all saw what happened outside. We were en route, alongside the Real Sociedad fans. I imagine they're always in that position. Suddenly the [police] protection wasn't there. You saw that.
'But it didn't affect the game at all. When the game started I said to [Real Sociedad coach Imanol Alguacil] that it had absolutely nothing to do with him, but he should send my regards to whoever had to prepare, and didn't prepare, whatever that was.'
