Just when the negotiations for Lautaro Martinez seemed to have broken down, Barcelona appear to have taken a big step towards landing the Inter hotshot.

The Catalans have long been pursuing the Argentine striker although Inter are doing their utmost to keep him.

Yet according to ESPN, Barcelona have reached a verbal agreement with Lautaro, with the salary agreed and all that remains is for the Catalans to sell a player to make room for him in the squad.

Only Leo Messi, Frenkie de Jong, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Luis Suarez, Gerard Pique, Clement Lenglet and Sergio Busquets are said to be non-transferable according to the same outlet.

At the same time, Inter are said to have lowered their demands to 90 million euros, according to Corriere della Sera, who deem that the Serie A side are considering signing Philippe Coutinho.
