Bayern thrash hapless Bavarian amateur team 27-0 in total in pre-season friendly

Bayern Munich are taking no pre-season prisoners as they showed their dominance with an over-the-top 27-0 pre-season thrashing of German amateur team.

When worked out across 90 minutes, the Bundesliga champions scored on average a goal every three-and-a-half minutes as Thomas Tuchel's forwards sent a message of intent ahead of the new season.

Bayern have been strongly linked with a move for Tottenham talisman Harry Kane and want to bring the Englishman to the club this summer, although Spurs don't appear to be open for business.

Friendly clashes are meant to be exactly that, friendly, but Bayern were in no mood to mess about as they smashed 27 goals without reply past German ninth-tier side Rottach-Egern.

Tuchel wanted to give his first-team stars a proper run-out following their summer holidays and the Bayern boss named a supremely strong starting team considering the occasion as the likes of Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry, and Joshua Kimmich all featured.

On the day that the club announced their £43m capture of Kim Min-jae from Napoli, it was Bayern's attackers that stole the show in Bavaria.

The goals began rolling in almost immediately after the opening whistle as Musiala scored his first of what would turn out to be five goals in the third minute.

His initial strike was backed up by goals from Serge Gnabry and Canadian full-back Alphonso Davies as Bayern found themselves 3-0 in-front after less than 10 minutes.

Musiala and Gnabry grabbed their second goals within a minute of each other and American Konrad Laimer scored his first goal for the German top-flight champions.

The ruthless onslaught continued throughout the first-half as Bayern gave a whole new meaning to the term competitive and the victors found themselves leading 18-0 at half-time.

A swathe of changes at the interval did little to affect the hosts' devastating attack and former Manchester United loanee Marcel Sabitzer showed that he could have a big part to play under Tuchel next season.

The midfielder's time at United was brought to a premature end with an injury at the end of last season seeing him miss the FA Cup final against Man City, however he showed that he is fully recovered with a five-goal haul on Tuesday.

Sabitzer scored five goal between the 50th and 73rd minute as Rottach-Egern players waited for the match to eventually end.

Sadio Mane - who is expected to leave the club this summer - rounded off the game by scoring Bayern's 27th goal in the 90th minute as the ridiculous score-line was eventually settled.
