Belgium coach Rudi Garcia admits he's happy Kevin de Bruyne joined Napoli this season.
The former Manchester City star chose a move to Italy over offers from MLS and the Saudi Pro League.
Garcia said, "Yes (I'm happy he chose Napoli). There was talk of the United States or Saudi Arabia. These choices have positives, but also negatives, like the time difference, the distance, and the level of the league.
"In Naples, however, you're in Europe, you're champions of Italy, and you're playing in the Champions League.
"Obviously, at 34, you can't play 90 minutes every game, but Kevin is a champion, one of the best players I've coached. And there have been many: I'm thinking, for example, of Totti, Ronaldo, or Hazard..."
Meanwhile, Garcia was asked if Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar will ever play for Belgium.
He added, "I don't know. Mile is very good, but he has this problem with that half-match he played against Serbia. But I'm well covered with the best of them all, (Thibaut) Courtois."
