Bernardo Silva Jokes: Portugal Teammate Jota Silva Resembles Grealish

Bernardo Silva was at the centre of an amusing moment in a press conference after he claimed that his Portugal team-mate Jota Silva had a similar appearance to Jack Grealish.

The Portuguese duo are in camp ahead of their friendlies against Sweden and Slovenia over the next fortnight. On Tuesday, they sat down to speak to reporters about the upcoming games.

Jota, who plays for Vitoria de Guimaraes received his first call up to Roberto Martinez's senior side this week alongside fellow rookie Francisco Conceicao.

The conversation somehow moved to talk on the similarities between Jota and Grealish. Bernardo appeared to chuckle, before saying: 'I'm going to send Jack [Grealish] a selfie.'

A person from outside the live stream of the press conference was then seen handing the Man City midfielder a mobile phone, with the pair coming together to smile, before taking the shot.

While we are yet to hear if Grealish received the image, Bernardo also joked that he wanted to pull a prank on Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola.

'And maybe I'll take Jota to Manchester to fool Guardiola!,' he said, laughing.

'There are similarities. When the conference is over I'll send Jack a photo.'

The funny exchange comes after Bernardo Silva announced that he wanted to finish his career away from Man City on Tuesday.

He has been a key player since he arrived at the Etihad back in 2017, having also inked a new one-year deal in 2026.

Reflecting on whether he could make a romatic return back to Benfica, Silva said: 'How far am I from returning? I think people are a bit tired of that question. It's been a long time,' he told SIC, via SAPO Desporto.

'I'm sure I'll be back, I don't know when, it's hard to time it and say if it's in two years' time, in three years' time, if it's next year with [current Benfica boss] Roger Schmidt [laughs].

'But I've said it several times and I think people get tired of hearing it: without a doubt it's a career and life goal to return to Benfica.'
