Betting Tips: Atalanta vs Juventus

Our tipster thinks that the goals will flow freely - at both ends - in what could be a classic Coppa Italia quarter-final clash on Wednesday night

Atalanta play host to Juventus in what promises to be a fascinating Coppa Italia quarter-final clash.

Massimiliano Allegri’s men are chasing a fifth successive cup title but the defending champions will face a stern test here, having played out a breathless 2-2 draw on Boxing Day.

Furthermore, Atalanta have scored 16 goals in their last four fixtures but Juventus do remain unbeaten in domestic competition this season, so will be confident of securing a semi-final spot.

Juventus are William Hill’s 21/20 (2.05) favourites to claim victory inside 90 minutes on Wednesday night whilst Atalanta are available at 11/4 (3.75) to take the scalp of Allegri’s men.

William Hill go 9/4 (3.25) that this match remains deadlocked at the end of normal time.

Duvan Zapata has been in sensational form for Atalanta, scoring 15 goals in his last nine matches – including two against Juventus in the previous meeting between these sides.

Allegri named a second-string side in the previous round of this competition against Bologna. It will be interesting to see whether the Juventus boss adopts a similar approach on this occasion.

Whilst Atalanta have been in free-scoring form in recent weeks, they have also conceded at least two goals in four of their last six fixtures.

William Hill go even money (2.0) that there are at least three goals in this game whilst the odds compilers offer 17/20 (1.85) that there are goals at both ends.

Juventus have kept a clean sheet in their last seven Coppa Italia matches and William Hill go 6/4 (2.50) that Allegri’s men shut out the hosts, and 23/10 (3.30) that Juventus win to nil. That would have landed in 10 of Juventus' last 12 victories in all competitions.

It is hard, however, to imagine a low-scoring contest when these teams meet. William Hill's 13/10 (2.30) quote for at least three goals – and both teams to score – could represent real value for punters.
