Inter wing back Cristiano Biraghi spoke with Inter's official club broadcaster Inter TV following the Nerazzurri's 1-0 loss to Napoli in Wednesday night's Coppa Italia semi final first leg at San Siro.

The Italian international came back into the starting line-up for the game having had to settle for starting from the bench in recent matches but could not prevent Inter from falling from just their second defeat in Italian domestic competition this season.

A Fabian Ruiz strike just before the hour mark of the game proved enough to give Napoli an advantage heading into the second leg of the tie which is due to take place at the start of next month.

Biraghi started the interview by congratulating Napoli on their win and discussed how the game went overall.

“Napoli defended with great sacrifice, congratulations to them. It is not easy for any team to face an opponent like them and moreover we were also unlucky in some moments of the game.

“If we had taken the lead, they would have opened up and we could have doubled our lead. In my opinion this result is not fair, but we must accept defeat, analyse the mistakes and not repeat them. We could have done something more.”

The 27-year-old then reflected on Inter's recent form and the rest of the season.

“We are a great team, it is normal that there is pressure. We are ready to face the next three months.”

This season he has made 21 appearances, in which he has tallied four assists.
