Brescia are in negotiations to take Andre Pinto on loan from Sporting CP, but the newly-promoted Serie A side want an option to buy.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the 29-year-old centre-back is eager to make his mark in Italian football.
The main issue holding it up is that Sporting would prefer just a dry one-season loan.
However, Brescia will only make the deal if they can have an option to buy at the end of the campaign.
Andre Pinto is under contract until June 2021and has been at the club since 2007, when he arrived as a free agent from Sporting Braga.
His previous clubs include FC Porto, Vitoria Setubal, Olhanense and a spell in Greece with Panathinaikos.
