Bruno Fernandes is the latest name to be targeted by the Saudi Arabian Pro League, with the Manchester United star said to have already rebuffed more than two approaches from Saudi clubs.
It's already been a summer transfer window dominated by moves to the middle east, with a slew of Premier League and European players seduced by the financial allure of Saudi Arabia.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Red Devils star Fernandes isn't about to join the exodus of names making the move and has repeatedly turned down talks from Saudi clubs.
Romano believes there has been more than one approach for the 28-year-old and that part of his decision to reject the move is down to him becoming Manchester United's new captain.
'Understand Bruno Fernandes rejected more than two approaches from Saudi one month ago.' Tweeted Romano.
'It’s only Manchester United for Bruno who’s expected to become the next permanent captain.'
Since Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Al-Nassr in January, there has been a flood of players joining the former Red Devils star in Saudi Arabia.
So far this summer, Saudi clubs has recruited names such as Roberto Firmino, Karim Benzema and Ruben Neves. While Chelsea, have offloaded a trio of players in N'Golo Kante, Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly to Saudi sides.
Despite the riches on offer, Fernandes focus remains on Manchester United and is one of the favourites to takeover the armband from Harry Maguire, who was stripped of the captaincy over the weekend.
Maguire, who struggled to find a regular spot in Erik ten Hag's side last season, released a statement on Sunday night revealing he would no longer be club captain, but that he is committed to staying at Old Trafford and will fight for his place in the team.
However, United are willing to listen to offers for the England centre-back, but are only interested in a permanent deal after they rejected a season-long offer from West Ham.
With Maguire no longer captain, Fernandes leads a list of players who are in contention to become the new skipper.
The midfielder led the team for the majority of last season, but faces competition from Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford.
