Capello: 'Orsato the worst of the night'

Fabio Capello praised Lazio forward Ciro Immobile as Italy’s ‘most complete striker’ but slammed referee Daniele Orsato’s performance at Old Trafford.

Former coach Capello won the Champions League in 1993-94 with Milan and spoke to Sky Sport Italia about the Italians involved on Wednesday night.

Immobile scored from the penalty spot to help Lazio draw 1-1 at the Signal Iduna Park against Borussia Dortmund last night

The Aquile sit second in Group F, two points above Club Brugge ahead of their clash in Rome next week.

“Ciro Immobile is the most complete striker we have in Italy,” Capello told Sky Sport Italia. “He’s the classic striker who can also play with another striker.

“He can play in a three-man attack too and is the ideal first striker for a coach.”

But the 74-year-old was not as pleased with the match official at Old Trafford and couldn’t fathom how Manchester United finished the match with 10 men against Paris Saint-Germain.

“The worst of the evening, I don’t understand how Fred could be booked,” Capello added. “He takes the ball and goes away.

“He’s booked for a foul that’s not there. I still don’t understand it.”
