UEFA has announced the TV pairings for the Champions League, with Inter and Juventus playing on different days.
The draw for this season’s group stage will be made in Monte Carlo later today, with four Italian sides competing.
Before the groups are drawn, UEFA ensures that certain teams from the same country’s fixtures cannot clash in order to maximise television viewership.
As a result, Juventus and Inter cannot play on the same day, nor can Napoli or Roma.
However, Roma could play on the same day as Juve and Napoli on the same day as Inter.
In practice, this means that if, for example, the Bianconeri are drawn into Group A to D, Inter must necessarily be in E to H.
