Chelsea transfer news: Paulo Dybala has been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer, but could sign a new deal with AS Roma instead.
"I saw Paulo Dybala here, they talk about him at Chelsea. I hope he arrives," the Brazilian said as Dybala was also spotted at Silverstone for the Formula One. "I've talked with him and asked him if he is coming, he answered me, but I can't say what he told me," hinting at the move.
"I would really like him to become a Chelsea player, he is a top player. It would help the team a lot." While that was the hope of the defender, he may not get that wish.
That's because, according to TuttomercatoWeb, Dybala is set to sign a new contract with Roma that will see him stay with former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho. The contract is set to be a three-year deal, though there is a claim that any release clause could be negotiated.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea could then open up a move for the World Cup winner or not, but a new contract suggests exactly where his future may lie.
