Chelsea transfer news: The Blues are on the lookout for a striker this summer and could land a bargain in the window

That forward is Paulo Dybala, who has impressed in his first season at AS Roma under Jose Mourinho, with 18 goal involvements in 23 league appearances. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Argentina international has a release clause worth €12million (£10.6million) and Dybala would have the final say on any move.

It could prove to be a bargain for the forward if he were to join, with Mourinho already outlining his qualities in a recent press conference: "My sensation is that [Dybala] was seeking the joy he had lost more than confidence. He found it here, with a squad that understands him, a coach that loves him, a position on the field with players like Pellegrini, Cristante and Mancini he has strong characters around him in leadership roles

“Dybala is a nice boy. He has the quality to play for the biggest clubs in the world, but he has found joy here."
