Claudio Ranieri has been named new coach of Serie BCagliari.
Ranieri returns to Sardinia 31 years after his previous time in charge.
The former Roma and Leicester City manager replaces Fabio Liverani, who was sacked earlier this week, with the club sitting 14th in the Serie B table.
Ranieri has signed a contract to June 2025, returning to the club where his management career truly took off with back-to-back promotions from Serie C to the top flight from 1988 to 1991.
The 71 year-old has been out of work since Watford fired him in January 2022.
