Former Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli reveals why he had doubts about ‘wild’ Antonio Conte and adds: ‘I wouldn’t want to be his wife or his daughter.”
Agnelli and Conte were involved in a clash at the end of Juventus-Inter last night.
“Andrea Agnelli vented everything he had accumulated against Conte after a tense game,” Cobolli Gigli told Punto Nuovo Sport Show.
“He used offensive words and that was a mistake,” the former Juventus President added.
“Conte is surely a very competent coach, but he is a bit wild. I wouldn’t want to be his wife or his daughter.
“He has important technical values, but on a personal level it’s a bit different.
“We thought about him when we wanted to replace [Claudio] Ranieri, but I told [Jean Clause] Blanc what he did when we beat Arezzo 5-1.
“Conte was the coach of the Tuscans and you could hear him shout in the dressing room because we didn’t draw, it was a nonsense reaction.
"His style was not the right one to be a Juventus coach."
