Cristiano Ronaldo has once again denied the rape allegations made against him and insists that he has a clear conscience.
It came as he smiled and posed for pictures as Juventus had their annual team photoshoot on Wednesday.
The Portugal star said rape was 'an abominable crime that goes against everything that I am and believe in' as police in Las Vegas reopened a sexual assault investigation from 2009.
Kathryn Mayorga, a 34-year-old teacher who was an aspiring model at the time of the alleged assault, claims Ronaldo raped her in a bathroom at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in the early hours of June 13, 2009.
Court papers claimed he attacked her even though she was screaming 'No, no, no!'
Ronaldo, 33, dismissed her claim as 'fake news' and reasserted this in a Twitter message posted on Wednesday afternoon.
He wrote: 'I firmly deny the accusations being issued against me. Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything that I am and believe in.
'Keen as I may be to clear my name, I refuse to feed the media spectacle created by people seeking to promote themselves at my expense.
'My clear conscious [sic] will thereby allow me to await with tranquillity the results of any and all investigations.'
But it appeared to be business as usual for Ronaldo on Wednesday as he posed for the official Juventus team photograph and signed autographs for fans at their training ground.
The Portuguese star was all smiles as he posed for the annual team portrait having sat out Tuesday night's Champions League fixture against Swiss team Young Boys.
Ronaldo was serving a one-match suspension after being sent off in Juve's match with Valencia a fortnight ago and watched on from the stands at the Juventus Stadium alongside girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez and seven-year-old son Cristiano Jr.
