Danilo D’Ambrosio is set to sign contract extension with Inter (CM)

Danilo D'Ambrosio is set to put pen to paper on a contract extension with Inter according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

The Italian national team defender is under contract with the club until the end of next season and as per the report the club have already come to an agreement with the 31-year-old over an extension although the report does not detail how long the contract extension is.

Inter manager Antonio Conte greatly appreciates D'Ambrosio both for what he does on the pitch but also off it and the player is set to be rewarded as a result.

D'Ambrosio joined Inter during the January transfer window back in 2014 and he is on the verge of making 200 competitive appearances across all competitions for the club.

In the six and a bit years he has been with the club, he has made 195 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored 13 goals and provided 17 assists.
