Napoli president De Laurentiis has publicly expressed his support for head coach Allegri, stating that the team cannot abandon its current project during a difficult period but must confront its problems, correct mistakes, and respond on the pitch.

"When you lose, you can't throw the baby out with the bathwater," De Laurentiis said in an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss. Two days after Napoli's 4-3 Champions League victory over Bodø/Glimt and ahead of a match against Roma, he made clear that the club would not hastily dismiss Allegri over recent performances, nor should it rush to discuss potential replacements.
De Laurentiis stated, "We have an experienced person leading the team, so above all, we must be patient." He also emphasized, "We must learn to wait, acknowledge our mistakes, and together change what needs to be changed." In his view, supporting the head coach does not mean exempting him from accountability; the team must still confront its issues and find the right solutions.
"In life, there are wins and losses," De Laurentiis said. He believes a difficult spell is not reason enough to overturn the entire project, but the team must seriously examine its problems and immediately address what can be corrected. What he demands is not passive waiting, but for the team to demonstrate clear improvement on the pitch and sustain consistent performances.
Earlier, Napoli sporting director Manna also stated before the Bodø/Glimt match, "Allegri has never been questioned." With Allegri contracted to Napoli for three years, De Laurentiis's statement once again confirmed the club's backing for the coach while setting clear expectations for the team: be patient, acknowledge mistakes, and prove on the pitch that changes are being made.
