Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis insists Edinson Cavani “wasn’t mentioned” at his lunch with Paris Saint-Germain.
Before each Champions League match, directors from each side meet for lunch and the Partenopei owner spoke to reporters this afternoon.
“Cavani wasn’t mentioned,” De Laurentiis said.
“It was a three star Michelin lunch and everyone was there. They were nice, friendly, warm and welcoming.
“PSG and Napoli continue a bilateral line of friendship, despite that fact every club works differently with different problems.
“Napoli have been a growing force in Europe for nine years, unfortunately we’ve always had very difficult draws.
“If we can be as difficult as them today we can play on par, if not we’ll be waiting for them in Naples.”
