Egypt overcame Morocco 2-1 at the Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday, with Trezeguet scoring the winning goal in extra time after the two sides couldn't be separated in 90 minutes.
It had all started so well for Morocco, who went in front on the scoreboard in the sixth minute courtesy of a Sofiane Boufal penalty, awarded and converted after Ayman Ashraf fouled the ever-attacking Achraf Hakimi.
Morocco couldn't create much more, though, and Egypt really grew into the game, eventually equalising as star man Mohamed Salah tapped in a rebound five minutes into the second half, after Bono had saved spectacularly from Mohamed Abdelmonem.
Although Egypt kept up the pressure, they needed an extra half an hour to find the winner. It came in the 10th minute of extra time, as Salah did well down the right and set up Trezeguet for the match-winning goal.
It could have been three for Egypt after Bono went up for a late Moroccan freekick, yet the Pharaohs messed up the counter attack.
It didn't matter, though, as they are through to the semi-finals and will face hosts Cameroon on Thursday.
