Everton players arrived at Goodison Park to a raucous atmosphere ahead of their vital Premier League clash with Newcastle.
Since Sean Dyche's appointment, the Toffees have typically arrived at the stadium individually ahead of their matches.
However, Dyche decided that the players should arrive via the team coach for tonight's match, following the positive impact it made when Everton were fighting to survive the drop under Frank Lampard last season.
Everton arrive into the clash with Newcastle two points outside the relegation zone, but their players should feel pumped up for the tough match against the high-flying Magpies after witnessing the scenes outside their home ground.
The team coach arrived to a sea of blue smoke, with fans lining up the streets to cheer on their players - with fans banging the team bus as it drove past chanting 'Everton'.
An Everton fan page posted a video of the coach arriving with the caption: 'The best fans in the world and there's no question.'
It was reminiscent of Everton's final three home games of last season, where thousands of fans arrived early and took to the streets to produce incredible scenes as Lampard and his squad arrived.
The work of supporters was one of the main reasons why Everton survived last season - finishing four points clear of the relegation zone.
Similar to last season, tonight's scenes saw Everton fans let off smoke flares, with some waving flags as they cheered on the players.
A victory for Everton tonight would move them out of the drop zone at the expense of Leeds United.
Asked about the change yesterday, Dyche said: 'All Evertonians, not just those who come in the stadium, know just how important this run of games is.
'They are all important games but of course this last clutch of games are bound to be important because of what it means.
'It (the coach welcome) was well documented last season and a couple of fan groups mentioned about it this season and I've a massive respect for them from what I've seen and heard from the fans since I've been here.
'They wanted to play their part, if that can make a difference, and beyond that we want the team to play their part and make a difference.
'I think it helps to create an atmosphere but the focus remains on the whistle blowing because that alone can't win you the game as you have to make sure you are in the right frame of mind regardless.'
