FC Zurich Coach Ludovic Magnin believes his team “went out of the Europa League with heads held high” and hopes Napoli win the tournament.
The Swiss side had already lost 3-1 at home in the first leg of this Europa League Round of 32, and fell 2-0 at the Stadio San Paolo.
“We played well and showed a different attitude to the first leg,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
“We had our scoring opportunities and I am content with our performance, as the gap between us and Napoli was less obvious tonight.
“Napoli have a lot of experience and I hope they can win the Europa League, that way we can say we were only eliminated by the best side in the tournament!
“Over the two legs, I saw a Napoli team that was solid and had a lot of talented players. Piotr Zielinski really impressed me in Switzerland.
“I feel we went out of the Europa League with our heads held high.”
