Bologna coach Thiago Motta has told Musa Barrow to leave after the preseason win against Utrecht.
Despite the triumph, Motta was left angered by the performance.
“At this moment, we cannot compete in Serie A. We are just not in a position to be competitive," he said.
“We cannot betray the love shown by our fans. We are all fully aware that in order to improve, we must invest. Everyone can see we need two attacking wingers, as Riccardo Orsolini is injured and we don't know when he will be available.
“Our objective is to compete with every team in Serie A, but right now we do not have the quality to do that. This team needs investment."
Thiago Motta also snapped at Barrow: “He has great potential, but has been at Bologna for many years. I feel maybe he needs to prove himself elsewhere."
