Adriano Galliani has revealed that he hopes Krzysztof Piatek and Lucas Paqueta "can become the new Shevchenko and Kaka", and believes the pair can help Milan "fight until the end" for Champions League qualification.
The pair arrived in the January transfer window, and have wasted little time in making a positive impression for the Rossoneri.
Piatek has scored four goals in four games, while Paqueta got off the mark in the win over Cagliari at the weekend.
Galliani has praised the new signings, and hopes that they can emulate what two former stars achieved at the club.
"I like this Milan, they strengthened a lot in January and with Paqueta and Piatek, they can fight until the end for Champions League qualification," he told reporters.
"Piatek reminds me of Sheva, I immediately thought that as soon as I saw him.
"My dream is that Piatek and Paqueta can become the new Sheva and Kaka.
"The players have changed, but [Gennaro] Gattuso has always played with the 4-3-3. Piatek and Paqueta have raised the quality level of the Rossoneri."
