Gattuso: I’d like to work with Fabregas, also Modric & Kante

Gennaro Gattuso welcomes new Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis and confirms they tried to sign Cristiano Ronaldo. “I hope to improve as a Coach and count to 10.”

The Rossoneri take on Parma on Sunday at 11.30 GMT.

Today new CEO Gazidis visited the training ground and had lunch with the Coach, directors Leonardo and Paolo Maldini.

“Gazidis is a man who knows football, who took Arsenal to excellent sporting and economic levels. He’s fascinating when he speaks and you gladly listen to him, as you can tell his experience,” said Gattuso in his Press conference.

It’s reported Milan are in negotiations to bring Cesc Fabregas in from Chelsea.

“Of course I’d like to work with Fabregas, much as I’d like to work with Luke Modric and Ngolo Kante. These are all questions for Leonardo and Maldini, not for me.

“At this moment, I assure you, I don’t want to think about the transfer market. If a deal is 80-90 per cent done, then they talk to me.”

It has been a year since the tactician took over from Vincenzo Montella, so how has he changed?

“I hope to improve, to lose my temper as little as possible and learn how to count to 10 first. At the moment, I manage to get to two or three at best…

“Let’s just say I need more experience. I’ll be 41 years old on January 9. I hope to improve my reading of the game and the way I prepare for matches.

“I can make a few adjustments to my character, but it takes time.”
