Bale was spotted leaving the Bernabéu before the end of the match against Real Sociedad. His teammates at that point were 1-4 down in the Copa del Rey quarter-final, but there was plenty of action ahead.
Zidane: I don't think team selection was wrong
Zidane doesn't believe he made a mistake with his team selection in a 4-3 defeat to Real Sociedad: "I don't think our team selection was wrong,"
"I put a team out that I thought could do well.
"There is an opposing team who has played very well and hurt us. We're all together at this club; when we all win and when we all lose."
He also added: "I'm sad, when you lose it means something's happened. To let in four we made too many defensive mistakes. Until this game we did really well and today we didn't.
"It can happen and won't change anything going forward. It's a bad moment but we tried and I thank the fans for their support for the players."
Marcelo: Real Madrid reacted a bit late
"We tried in the end, [but] we reacted a bit late," Marcelo told DAZN.
"But we have to react like this: run and fight.
"The first half was a bit difficult. In the second [half], we gave everything and did not get [the outcome we wanted]."
Odegaard scores against Madrid but doesn't celebrate
