Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic should be fit to return against Napoli in the Coppa Italia, aiming to end his trophy drought in the Nerazzurri shirt.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Slovenia international has recovered fully from his injury setback and will return between the sticks when football resumes.

Inter struggled to cope without the 35-year-old, as Daniele Padelli didn’t manage to convince during his six games in goal this term.

The Italian kept two clean sheets in his six games across all competitions, but Handanovic has reportedly agreed to extend his deal at San Siro and Ionut Radu seems set for a return from Parma this summer.

The newspaper claims Handanovic is ready to return when Inter play Napoli at the San Paolo, to help the Nerazzurri turn around the 1-0 defeat from the first leg at the Giuseppe Meazza, aiming to finally win his first trophy.

Handanovic kept seven clean sheets and conceded 20 goals in his 22 Serie A matches before the break.
