Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez feels in career best form.
While the team has been stumbling, Lautaro has been happy with the way he has been playing.
"I've been here for five seasons," he said, “working hard every day always pays off.
“Being captain of this great team gives me a great deal of pride.
“There have been many periods where I've been playing well, but the moment of form that I'm in right now has definitely been my best period since I joined Inter.
“From the captain's armband to the number of goals I've been scoring, I've been playing nearly every match and playing at a consistent level, which is important for me and for the club."
Of the World Cup with Argentina, the 25-year-old said, “It's something I think about every day.
“We've written a chapter in the history of our country.
“In a year and a half we've done everything possible with the national team."
