Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi was happy with victory over Cremonese on Saturday.
David Okereke had Cremonese ahead before Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko struck to turn things around.
"I am very happy and I congratulated my team on a great performance, they took the best approach and unfortunately then conceded a worldie from their player that could've created problems for us after the defeat to Empoli, but instead we stayed calm and concentrated," Inzaghi told DAZN.
“It was tough against a Cremonese side that in the last few days had knocked Napoli out of the Coppa Italia and picked up a point in Bologna. I am very happy with the character shown by my team, as after a nasty defeat, conceding an early goal against the run of play could've been really damaging."
After the final whistle, Inzaghi urged Francesco Acerbi to donate his jersey to a young boy who was sitting near the dugout.
“There was a kid who was cheering us on throughout the game and I thought he deserved some reward. There were many fans here, just as there were to celebrate with us on Monday after the Supercoppa when unfortunately we were unable to reward them with a victory.
“We are Inter, we know that the pressure is on us to deliver results and try not to concede goals like this. I can only imagine the questions if we had lost to that goal!
“We realised there would be difficulties here and Cremonese were fired up. If I had to find a negative, we made a few too many mistakes in our passing that could've allowed us to extend our lead before the end."
