Barcelona are waiting to resolve Jordi Alba's future in the hope of saving part of the player's salary next season. The club's objective would be for the player to accept an offer from elsewhere, although there are several open scenarios. For the moment, Inter and Juventus have already shown interest in the left-back, who has shown that he still has plenty of time left in him.
The decision made with Alba is firm and is because of the economic situation the club is going through. Barça cannot take on his contract for next season and even more so after the emergence of Alejandro Balde as a starter and the low-cost renewal of Marcos Alonso. The priority is that Alba can leave as long as he finds an offer that attracts him. He would be given facilities and would be financially compensated according to the salary he would receive abroad.
The Italian route is interesting because of taxation and because Alba has always aroused a lot of interest in Calcio. Inter negotiated his arrival through a loan deal in the last summer window, but the player did not want to leave. Now they are going to try again, although he would have to arrive as a free agent, something that Barça would allow. And everything would depend on the decision of the player who, for now, is not too interested in leaving.
Juventus have also asked about Alba. They are going to carry out a sporting revolution and the Blaugrana defender fits in perfectly as they need a top level left-back. Barça would like to resolve this issue soon although everything is in the hands of the player, who has earned the right to decide his future after the performances he has given.
