Inter Milan are open to selling centre-back Diego Godin after just one season at the club, according to reports in France and Italy.
The Uruguay international joined the Serie A side on a free transfer last summer after leaving LaLiga outfit Atletico Madrid but has failed to make an impact at San Siro.
A report from RMC Sport in France on Friday claimed that Lyon have made an approach to Inter and declared their interest in signing the 34-year-old.
Now those claims have been added to by Italian outlet calciomercato, who have also indicated the Ligue 1 outfit cannot afford the salary Godin would demand.
The report adds that given Godin's yearly contract sees him earn £4.5million (€5m) net plus bonuses, Inter are more than happy to let him leave.
The defender has regularly been benched by Antonio Conte in favour of Italy Under-21 international Alessandro Bastoni.
Rudi Garcia's Lyon are just the latest club to have been linked with a move for Godin ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Other reports have suggested he could return to Diego Simeone's Atletico or even move to the MLS with Inter Miami.
This season, Godin has made 25 appearances across all competitions so far, in which he has provided a single assist.
