Jose Mourinho was surprised with a birthday cake and two bottles of champagne at Roma's training ground after turning 59 on Wednesday.
Mourinho has endured a difficult debut season with the Italian club so far, yet his players and staff still made sure to pay tribute to their manager on his birthday.
At their Trigoria training complex, the former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager walked into the dressing room to find a red-and-yellow Roma-inspired cake and some bottles of bubbly waiting for him.
After clearly being taken by surprise he blew the candles out and began cutting the cake, handing the first slice to captain Lorenzo Pellegrini.
And in footage shared by Roma, Mourinho could be heard saying: 'Let's get to work!'
The Portuguese was clearly keen to get back on the pitch and continue training amid his side's improved run of form of late.
After suffering back-to back defeats against AC Milan and Juventus, Roma have claimed victory in each of their last three matches in all competitions, seeing off Empoli, Lecce and Cagliari.
On the whole, however, it has been a frustrating campaign for Mourinho, who has only enjoyed 19 wins from his 32 games in charge.
New loan signing Sergio Oliveira was also on hand with a special birthday message for his manager on Wednesday, sharing an old photo of him getting Mourinho's autograph as a young child.
Giallorossi currently sit sixth in the Serie A table, although Lazio can leapfrog them by winning their game-in-hand.
