Juve president says he won't accept Scudetto based on current standings

Juventus President Andrea Agnelli has hinted that he will not accept the Scudetto based on current standings after ‘liking’ a Twitter post.

Juve presently lead the Serie A table, picking up 63 points from 26 games before the season was postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.

FIGC chief Gabriele Gravina has stated several times that he will do all he can to ensure the campaign is completed, also declaring there will be a title winner in 2019-20.

However, Agnelli ‘liked’ a Twitter post – dated on March 26 – that read: “It would be marvellous, but saying ‘no thanks’ would be even more marvellous!”

The Old Lady maintain they have won 37 Scudetti, but the FIGC argues they have won 35 because of the Calciopoli scandal, which saw them stripped of the 04-05 and 05-06 titles.
