Manuel Locatelli saw a late penalty saved as Juventus missed the chance to climb into Serie A's top four, after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Sassuolo.

The spoils were shared at the Allianz Stadium, where Andrea Pinamonti struck early in the second half to cancel out Kenan Yildiz's first-half effort.
Juve broke the deadlock in the 14th minute following a breathtaking counter-attack. Mattia Perin's long kick sent Francisco Conceicao racing down the right, before he squared the ball for the onrushing Yildiz to steer home from the edge of the penalty area.
Jay Idzes went close to equalising when he nodded over from Domenico Berardi's corner midway through the first half. However, the visitors got back on level terms in the 52nd minute, with Pinamonti stealing a yard on Lloyd Kelly to sweep home Berardi's low cross.
The Bianconeri were handed a glorious opportunity to snatch all three points five minutes from time, when Idzes was penalised for handball following a VAR review.
However, Arijanet Muric guessed correctly to deny Locatelli's tame penalty, while the Sassuolo goalkeeper also produced a superb reflex save to keep out Dusan Vlahovic's header soon afterwards, preserving a hard-earned point for the visitors.
10 - Kenan Yildiz is the first foreign Juventus player to reach double figures in goals before turning 21 in a #SerieA season; he's the seventh player to do so overall, the last being Roberto Bettega in 1970/71 (13 goals). Wonderkid.#JuventusSassuolo pic.twitter.com/WpWout7EU9

Data Debrief: Yildiz into double figures
Yildiz's 10th goal of the season made him the first non-Italian Juventus player to reach double figures in a Serie A campaign before turning 21, and the seventh player overall.
The 20-year-old is one of three players born from 2005 onwards to have been directly involved in more than 15 goals this season across the big five European leagues, along with Lamine Yamal (23) and Yan Diomande (16).
Yildiz is also only the second Turkish player to score at least 10 goals in a single Serie A season during the three-points-per-win era (since 1994-95), after Hakan Calhanoglu in 2023-24 (13).
However, it proved academic as, despite having 65.4% possession and boasting 2.13 xG to their opponents' 0.48, the hosts had to settle for a point.
Juve have now failed to score three penalties in Serie A this season, the joint-most along with Como and Genoa.
Meanwhile, with seven goals and three assists, Pinamonti is one of only two Italian players to have been involved in at least 10 goals in each of the last three Serie A seasons, along with Inter's Federico Dimarco.
