Juventus have announced that Napoli fans who live in Campania or are born in the region will not be able to buy tickets for their August 31 clash.
The two Scudetto contenders are due to meet in Turin at the end of the month, but as it stands no Neapolitan natives will be making the trip.
That is because a statement on Juve’s official website included the above condition for when tickets go on general sale tomorrow.
Turin police have already distanced themselves from the statement, while Campanian politician Flavia Sorrentino has accused the Bianconeri of ‘racism’ and ‘territorial discrimination’.
Both sides are not only Serie A rivals but also represent the north-south divide in Italy, while former Partenopei boss Maurizio Sarri has since moved to the Old Lady.
The Old Lady have been punished on several occasions in the past for anti-Neapolitan chants from their fans and even their under-15 team.
