Juventus has not given up on signing Lukaku despite fans' protest

Juventus have reportedly not given up on the possibility of signing Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

Despite Chelsea being in need of a striker, Lukaku isn't part of Mauricio Pochettino's plans.

As reported by Corriere Dello Sport, Juventus feel that a move for Lukaku could still happen.

Signing Lukaku wouldn't be a popular move with Juventus supporters, who stormed the pitch at a training match earlier this month and chanted: 'We don't want Lukaku'.

Chelsea rejected a £26million bid from Inter Milan for Lukaku earlier this summer and Todd Boehly wants in the region of £40m.

Although there was interest in Lukaku from Al-Hilal, that deal seems unlikely to happen now, with Aleksandar Mitrovic heading to the Saudi Arabian side from Fulham instead.

Lukaku is back at Chelsea following the conclusion of his loan spell at Inter Milan, during which he scored 14 goals in 37 appearances.

The Belgium international wasn't given a squad number by Chelsea ahead of this season.

Lukaku has three years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge but his future appears to lie away from the club.
