Lautaro Martinez has praised ‘great’ Inter teammate Mauro Icardi for ‘helping me a lot both on and off pitch’.
Martinez teed up Icardi for Inter’s winner against Olympique Lyonnais, while the two Argentine forwards look to have the makings of a promising partnership.
“The goal was very nice, but I'm happy because we played very well against very tough opponents,” he said after the match.
“They made a lot of fouls. I have to get used to it, but I come from a physical League like the Argentine one.
“Mauro Icardi helps me a lot both on and off the pitch. Mauro’s a great teammate and he’s helping me achieve my objectives.”
