Lazio have started negotiations with Manchester United for creative midfielder Andreas Pereira, claim Sky Sport Italia.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs have begun initial talks going into the final week of the transfer session.
The Brazil international who grew up in Belgium came up through the Manchester United academy and had loan spells in Spain with Granada and Valencia.
With Donny van de Beek’s arrival at Old Trafford, there will be even less playing time for the 24-year-old.
His versatility is considered a valuable asset for Simone Inzaghi, who needs alternatives all over the midfield as well as in support for hitman Ciro Immobile.
Pereira made 40 competitive appearances for Manchester United last season, contributing two goals and four assists.
