Lecce sports chief Pantaleo Corvino has no doubts about the quality and ability of Dusan Vlahovic.
While the Serb's position at Juventus remains up for debate, Corvino insists the centre-forward's ability cannot be questioned.
Corvino originally brought Vlahovic to Italy when sports director of Fiorentina and told GR Rai Parlamento: "I've always considered Dusan a great striker.
"Whoever signs him, or keeps him, is getting a great deal. For me, he's one of the best in the world, even when he had to endure undue media scrutiny. I judge him by his numbers and the fact that he was in a rebuilding Juventus."
Corvino also discussed Lecce's teenage striker Francesco Camarda, who he took on-loan from AC Milan.
He said, "He's a thoroughbred, destined to win, and his quality is ageless. We're talking about a complete striker, despite also being well-built.
"Some think of him as a penalty-box centre-forward, but he has the mobility and pace that allow him to start from deep. He has an eye for goal, he heads well, and he has the right timing.
"I'm proud because he's broken a record that belonged to another young player I discovered, Bojinov, who made his debut and scored against Bologna. Seeing a 17-year-old score in Serie A is a great feeling."
