Sevilla star Ever Banega taunted Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte about his hair during Friday night's Inter Milan final in an altercation which led to the Italian boss receiving a yellow card.

The pair were involved in a scuffle during the first-half of the final in Cologne, which the Spanish side won 3-2 thanks to a Romelu Lukaku own-goal.

According to Sky Sports Italia, Banega approached Conte and teased him saying: 'Let's see if that wig is real.'

The Italian manager responded: 'I'll see you after the game,' and referee Danny Makkelie booked Conte for that comment during the intense match.

Banega is a Sevilla talisman having represented the club nearly 250 times over two spells since 2014.

The Argentinian has been involved with controversy throughout his career. Before joining Valencia, he was involved in an internet sex scandal during a party after Argentina won the Under-20 World Cup in 2009.

He also reportedly turned up drunk to an important training session for an important game against Barcelona in 2012.

Conte, meanwhile, is known for his wild touchline antics, which stayed with him when he was Chelsea manager for two years between 2016 and 2018.

It was Inter Milan who took the lead in Cologne thanks to Romelu Lukaku's early penalty.

But Sevilla responded thanks to two headers from Luuk De Jong, which turned the game on its head.

Inter defender Diego Godin responded with a quick-fire header after Sevilla took the lead, but Lukaku's late blunder settled the match with just under 20 minutes to play.

It is the sixth time Sevilla have won the Europa League in their history, having won it three times in a row between 2014 and 2017.
