Everton manager David Moyes is currently overseeing a huge transformation of the squad after signing the likes Carlos Alcaraz striker Thierno Barry whilst letting go of many of the club’s long time servants. The Toffees reportedly need a left-back, right-back, at least one centre-midfielder which has led to rumours surrounding Luiz.
United have made just two signings so far this summer, with Matheus Cunha and youngster Diego Leon the two arrivals at Old Trafford. Now, according to Football Insider manager Ruben Amorim has registered interest in Luiz who left Aston Villa just last year.
Luiz has not been at his best since joining the Italian club and many reports have suggested that he is wanting a fresh start as he looks to get away from the Serie A. Leeds, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest have all been keeping an eye on the midfielder but it looks as if United and Everton are leading the race to sign him.
A return to the Premier League could provide Luiz with the platform to regain confidence which has seemed to lack with Juventus. Luiz’s time in Turin has fallen short of expectations, but a move back to England to either Everton or United could help him bounce back better than ever as he mulls over his future.
