Manchester United are reportedly 'plotting' a move for AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham in the January transfer window.
According to TeamTalk, United are looking to sign Abraham in the winter window in a bid to bolster their attacking options. The report claims that the Serie A star is among Erik ten Hag's top targets when it comes to signing a new centre forward.
Following his move from Chelsea to Roma in 2021, the 25-year-old spearheaded the Italian side's attack in his debut season. The former Premier League star scored 27 times across all competitions - including 17 league goals.
Although Abraham has struggled to replicate that kind of form this season, only managing to find the back of the net four times in 20 appearances across all competitions, it is clear to see how much of a threat he can be. The England international has been working under the guidance of Jose Mourinho while in Italy - also playing alongside former Reds Chris Smalling and Nemanja Matic.
Elsewhere, Italian outlet Tutto Salernitana (as per the Mirror) report that United are 'battling' Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus for the signature of 18-year-old Benfica midfielder Cher Ndour.
It is claimed that the highly-rated teenager could is now being targeted by the club as a long-term alternative to Casemiro and Christian Eriksen. The pair are both in their thirties and Ten Hag will be eager to find a more sustainable replacement in to be brought in to play alongside them in a gradual transition.
Ndour is out of contract with Benfica in the summer, meaning that United can look to agree a deal with the starlet during the January window, or even try to low-ball the Portuguese club should they want to get a deal wrapped up before the summer.
