Maran: So much anger

Cagliari boss Rolando Maran says his players are very ”angry“ with how they threw away their game against Lecce.

Cagliari were 2-0 up at the Via del Mare and seemingly coasting, until two late goals from Lecce earned the home side a draw.

“There is so much anger, we were 2-0 up until the 80th minute but then we lost the lead and it was our fault. We need to improve,” Maran told reporters.

Goalkeeper Robin Olsen was sent off after an exchange of heads with opposing hitman Gianluca Lapadula...

“Needless to say, these things won’t be discussed here. I will talk to the lad in private. He [Olsen] is a serious person, who is always committed, and perhaps he was provoked a little.

“These things happen during games. From what I saw, the punishments had to be the same.”

In better news for the Rossoblu, Inter loanee Radja Nainggolan again got on the scoresheet.

“Radja is a team player. Everyone embraced him after his goal. He is improving in his condition and he’s a natural talent.

“I’m happy for him, it’s just a pity his goal couldn’t have won the game for us.”
