Milan have confirmed that defender Mateo Musacchio will be out for up to two months with a knee injury.
Musacchio fell heavily to the ground after a collision with teammate Franck Kessie during Milan’s 1-1 draw with Real Betis on Thursday, and there were panicked calls for the medical staff as he appeared to briefly lose consciousness.
However, the Rossoneri instead announced on their official website: “Mateo Musacchio reported a blow to his right knee after the game, resulting in a posterior cruciate ligament injury, which will require conservative treatment of 6-8 weeks.”
Furthermore, the club assured tests on the Argentine’s head gave back ‘a negative result’.
