Monza president Silvio Berlusconi has told his players of his ambitions to become Scudetto winners.
Monza have defied pundits this season as they establish themselves in Serie A this season.
Former AC Milan owner Berlusconi, speaking to his players at Villa Gernetto, said: “Since Palladino's arrival, we've been in fifth place, together with Milan. In Monza we really believe, we want to make it become even more important, and we can say it Adriano (Galliani): we want to win the Scudetto, next year or the year after."
“With Monza we bought new players, we doubled our training ground, Monzello, which is now the biggest and most beautiful in Italy. Now we have also put in place the stadium with a small expenditure of €25m.
“But things have changed: when we arrived, there were 300 people watching Monza, now 10,000. We have to be united and what we have written in the locker room applies especially now, those who believe in it fight all obstacles and those who believe in it win. We must make Monza great."
