On Romano's Italian podcast, well-known journalist Moretto discussed Internazionale's transfer dynamics.
On Monday, Marotta and Chivu held a press conference looking forward to the new 2026-27 season. Internazionale is still looking for several tactical pieces in the midfield and defense, especially on the right flank. As far as we know, some players are being recommended to the Nerazzurri, right?
You could say that. In the transfer market, perhaps one day we can do an in-depth show specifically to dissect how the transfer market works. Because sometimes clubs proactively seek out a specific target profile, because they know this player is the perfect person to strengthen the squad; but at other times, it's agents or intermediaries who proactively connect, recommending players to clubs and explaining the feasible conditions for their departure.
For example, maybe a club didn't previously know that Kovacic of Manchester City had been placed on the departure list. Kovacic might leave Manchester City this summer; his contract expires in 2027, and he is currently 32 years old. He previously played for Internazionale, so Internazionale is very familiar with him, and sporting director Ausilio knows him inside out.
What I'd like to add is that, in the past few hours and days, Kovacic has indeed been recommended to Internazionale. Of course, Internazionale will first need to offload some players before considering him, but as an experienced, talented veteran whom Internazionale is very familiar with, he is indeed a potential option. We'll see if this initial contact develops into substantive transfer negotiations as the summer window progresses.
