Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas was 'furious' not to start the club's Champions League last 16 match against Real Madrid.
The French club exited the competition after a spectacular meltdown that saw Mauricio Pochettino's side go from 1-0 up to 3-1 down in just 17 minutes.
Navas made his thoughts known to the manager on the day of the game, according to L'Equipe, who reported that he was 'furious' at being left out.
The Costa Rican has been rotating with club rival and Euro 2020 winner Gianluigi Donnarumma all season.
Pochettino has generally preferred Navas to the Donnarumma, with the Costa Rican making 21 appearances in all competitions, including 16 in Ligue 1, while the Italian has made just 11 league appearances and 18 overall.
Yet Donnarumma was chosen for the Real game, and Navas' mood was likely not improved by the fact that it was the Italian goalkeeper's howler that led to the first Karim Benzema goal and kicked off PSG's unravelling.
Donnarumma was caught on the ball inside his own penalty area by Benzema, who muscled the ball away and eventually scored. PSG claimed Donnarumma was fouled but the goal stood.
Benzema then went on to complete a hat-trick and PSG's hopes were in tatters.
Navas was said to be especially angered, according to L'Equipe, because he spent five seasons at Real, making more than 160 appearances. It would have been his first time back at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium since leaving.
PSG's troubles have continued beyond the match as UEFA have opened disciplinary proceedings against the club over the behaviour of club chiefs Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Leonardo after the game.
Both were said to have launched a 'furious tirade' against the match officials.
