Chelsea and Tottenham are both looking for new permanent managers following the sackings of Graham Potter and Antonio Conte and a number of interesting candidates have emerged

Brendan Rodgers is the current bookies favourite to take over from Antonio Conte at Tottenham.

Spurs are looking for their fourth permanent manager in four years, following the reigns of Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Conte since Mauricio Pochettino's exit. Rodgers is available after being sacked by Leicester City on Sunday, with the Foxes currently sitting in 19th position in the Premier League.

"I am obviously disappointed to depart so close to the end of the season and had every confidence that we would have delivered the results needed to preserve the Club's Premier League status," Rodgers said in a statement published by the League Managers Association.

"I would like to wish everybody at the club the very best of luck as they seek to continue to deliver on this objective.

"I’m now looking forward to having a chance to reflect and recharge and get ready for the next opportunity".

Latest odds from Betfair show Rodgers is the frontrunner for the Spurs job, with the former Liverpool boss the 9/4 favourite to be the Spurs manager at the start of the 2023/24 season. Pochettino is 10/3 to take over from Conte while Nagelsmann and former Chelsea boss Graham Potter are priced at 6/1. Vincent Kompany at 9/1 and Arne Slot at 9/1 make up the list.

With Chelsea also now looking for a manager following Potter's dismissal on Sunday, it appears Todd Boehly is eyeing up Nagelsmann, who is 7/10 to be the next permanent Chelsea manager. Current interim boss Bruno Saltor is second favourite at 9/2, while former Spain manager Luis Enrique is priced at 15/2. Pochettino (12/1), Roberto De Zerbi (14/1), Jose Mourinho (20/1) and Zinedine Zidane (20/1) are also in the running, according to Betfair.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “Brendan Rodgers is the new 9/4 favourite to be Tottenham’s manager at the start of next season, just two days after his Leicester City sacking. Julian Nagelsmann had been the 5/4 frontrunner for the Tottenham job, before Graham Potter was sacked by Chelsea over the weekend. Now, Nagelsmann is the odds-on 7/10 favourite to be the next Blues manager.”
